TITLE: MEMOREX 122 Key Enhanced Keyboard Driver
DOCUMENT #: TB.S.3-143
DATE: June 18, 1991
PRODUCT: 3270 LAN WORKSTATION
PRODUCT VERSION: 1.0, 1.1, 2.0
SUPERSEDES: NA
SYMPTOM: See Below
ISSUE/PROBLEM
The Memorex Telex 122 key ENHANCED keyboards only work properly with the 3270
Workstation if a special Memorex driver is used.
SOLUTION:
NOTE: The following information is for the MTC 122 ENHANCED Keyboard only.
If keyboard is MTC 122 STANDARD Keyboard you can use the Large
keyboard selection (KEYTRONICS) in WSCONFIG and it should work properly.
If the key at the bottom left of the key pad is PAUSE the keyboard is 122
Enhanced, if it is CTRL the keyboard is Standard.
Secure Driver Release 1.0.2 for MTC 122 Enhanced Keyboard from Memorex Telex,
National Systems Engineering, 800-331-2623.
This driver has been tested by Memorex Telex with WSLAN 1.0, 1.1, and 2.0.
Please direct any questions about the driver to Memorex. At the moment the
contact person at Memorex is Dan Inderrieden.
Memorex supplies a READ.ME with the driver which explains the installation
procedure. At present the READ.ME is as follows:
1. Copy the IKYBDL.EXE file over the current file in the WSLAN directory.
Please make sure you rename the old IKYBDL.EXE file first to IKYBDL.SAV
just in case you run into any problems. Also copy the NVLMTC1.NPL file
into the same directory. Please don't try to run IKYBDL.EXE from the
command line as it called internally from the Novell software when
the WSLAN program loads.
2. Run WSCONFIG and configure the keyboard to "LARGE 122 KEY KEYBOARD"
also, specify that the user supplied file be "NVLMTC1.NPL".
3. DO NOT run KEYDEF and change any key mappings with the NVLMTC1.NPL
file until a later release of this driver is available. If you do you will
see that PF13 looks like it has been assigned as the JUMP key. The reason
for this is that the Novell KEYDEF utility is still using the Keytronic
122 keyboard template. A later revision of the driver will have this
corrected. If you delete the JMP key from P13 the JUMP key will not work
correctly. Do not run KEYDEF with this driver.
THE FILES PROVIDED BY MEMOREX ARE:
